Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the piano slower on mobile?

Mobile devices have less processing power. We've optimized the synth to use fewer harmonics (3 instead of 6) for better performance. The piano should now be much faster, especially on newer devices.

Which keyboard keys play which notes?

White keys: A S D F G H J K (C4 to C5). Black keys: W E T Y U (C# D# F# G# A#). Spacebar is the sustain pedal. See the keyboard shortcuts table above for the full mapping.

Can I play chords?

Yes! Press multiple keys at once on your keyboard or click multiple piano keys with your mouse. The piano supports polyphony (multiple notes at the same time).

Does this work on mobile?

Yes, you can tap the piano keys on mobile. Keyboard shortcuts work on devices with physical keyboards (tablets with keyboards). For the best experience, use a computer with a keyboard.

Why is there no sound?

Click the Enable Sound button first. Browsers block audio until the user interacts with the page. Once enabled, the button turns green and you can play.
