💡 Lights Out
Toggle all lights off. Every click also flips its neighbours.
✅ How to Play Lights Out
- The grid starts with some lights on (yellow) and some off (dark).
- Tap any light to toggle it — but it also flips all direct neighbours (up, down, left, right).
- Your goal is to turn all lights off.
- Try to solve it in as few moves as possible — your best move count is saved per difficulty.

Common Questions
Is every puzzle solvable?
Yes — all puzzles are generated by starting from a solved state (all off) and applying a set of random valid moves. This guarantees every puzzle has at least one solution.
What is the best strategy?
A useful technique called "chasing the lights" works by going row by row from top to bottom — fix each row by clicking the lights in the next row. Then solve the bottom row using a known pattern table.
Does clicking the same light twice cancel it?
Yes — every click is a toggle. Clicking the same cell twice returns it (and its neighbours) to their previous state, so those moves cancel each other out.
Is my best score saved?
Yes — your lowest move count per difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard) is saved in your browser so you can come back and try to improve it.
Difficulty Comparison
