- You play as X, the AI (or Player 2) plays as O.
- Take turns clicking any empty square to place your mark.
- The first to get 3 in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — wins.
- If all 9 squares fill up with no winner, it's a draw.
- On Hard difficulty the AI plays perfectly using minimax — try to force a draw!
Common Questions
Can the Hard AI be beaten?
No — the Hard AI uses the minimax algorithm and plays perfectly. The best you can achieve is a draw. Easy and Medium AI make deliberate mistakes so you have a real chance to win.
How does 2 Player mode work?
Both players share the same device and screen. Player 1 is X and goes first, Player 2 is O. Take turns tapping your square.
Are scores saved between sessions?
Scores reset when you refresh the page — they track your current session wins, losses and draws.
