Common Questions
What is a Blackjack?
A Blackjack is an Ace plus any 10-value card (10, J, Q, K) dealt on the first two cards. It beats any hand that reaches 21 through multiple cards, and pays 3:2 on your bet (e.g. bet $10, win $15).
How does Double Down work?
Double Down doubles your current bet and deals you exactly one more card, then your turn ends. It's most powerful when you have 9, 10 or 11 and the dealer shows a weak card.
What happens when I Split?
If your first two cards have equal value, Split divides them into two separate hands, each with its own bet equal to your original bet. You then play each hand independently.
What is the house edge in Blackjack?
With basic strategy, Blackjack has one of the lowest house edges of any casino game — around 0.5%. Without strategy it's closer to 2%. The key is knowing when to hit, stand, double and split.
